Powerful ways to let go

This 2022, take the time and space to assess your way of living so we can create more capacity, spaciousness and lightness in our life. But how do we do that? How do we make space?

In this post, we share with you five powerful ways to let go.

Read on.

Observe your attachments

When you catch yourself overthinking, pause and contemplate what you may be holding onto and why?

Use your curiosity to observe why you may be holding on so tightly.  Acknowledge it, then name it, as this is the first step to understanding why it’s been difficult for you to let go.

It might take time or talking it out to other people. But remember to be gentle with yourself during this process.

Allow yourself to feel

“The only way out is through.”

Give yourself permission to feel and sit in your emotions.

By doing so, you’re not easily pushing away your feelings to get to the finish line quickly.

Once you’ve gotten through them, only will you able to start to redefine old belief systems, perceptions of yourself, judgments, past emotions and habits, and start making the necessary change to improve.

Stay true to the boundaries you set

Just because you can do it doesn’t mean you should.

Real shift happens when you make intentional actions that you know are right for you.

If you fill your hours only with what is demanded of you, what you feel is an obligation or duty, there’ll be no time left for what you truly want to do.

Remember, it pays to not be nice all the time.

Choose not to succeed at anything you don’t love

We’ve always been told to “follow our dreams,” but it isn’t always as easy as it sounds.

If you ever feel like you want to get out of a situation and move forward to doing things you actually love, the first step is to know what you want.

When you’ve roughly figured it out, consistently choose to take steps and actions that will get us where we want to be - no matter how small.

Small actions will lead to a huge achievement.

Decide wether what you’re doing is desire or duty

A few years from now, you’d want to look back on your life and the happy memories you’ve created for yourself.

Whenever you feel lost, ask yourself, “Is what I’m filling my time with something that I truly enjoy doing?”

Some of us might not have the privilege of having our passions as our day jobs, but beyond our 9-to-5, we still have time to engage in hobbies that nourish our well-being.

Letting go is a journey, we hope that these powerful reminders help you in yours.
