Social Media Detox

Social media has positively improved social capital, social support, sense of community, and well-being.

However, it’s still important to have a healthy balance between the use of social media, doing physical activities, and socialising face-to-face.

If you find yourself using your phone or being on the computer longer than a healthy amount, it’s never too late to change your habits.

Start small by setting a time limit to your app usage - learn how to do this by tapping on our stories!

Here are 3 other ways to slow down your use of screen time:

  • Turn your phone off at certain times of the day (i.e. when you are at the dinner table or playing with the kids)

  • Leave your device in another room to charge overnight while you are sleeping

  • Move social and news media apps to the next screen and in a folder on  so it’s harder to ‘reach’

In the video below, we take you on a step by step guide on how you can set an App Limit on your iPhone.
